Day 12: Double Date
Today I resume on my trek once again, yes the Rose Safari Expedition at the ever immaculate Ngong Hills just south of the capital city of Nairobi, Kenya. On this day at a distance ahead of me, I lay my eyes on an African buffalo! As one of the big five, in many parts of Africa it is known as the widow maker and is widely regarded as a very dangerous animal. Owing to its unpredictable nature, I quickly and quietly make my way off this peak and continue trekking all the way to the top of the next peak. This is where I get to discover the Double Date. A bi-colored rose that has very light colored green base with a dashing red color at the tips of the petals. Touching the rose, its delicate petals were soft to the fingers touch quite similar to that of a feather. To be clear, just the sight of the rose, reminds one to breathe! The bi-color is extremely unique, very lovely, exciting and truly a match made in heaven
The Double Date Rose is just an amazing discovery and nobody on this earth especially all of the major florists would beg to differ. Characterized by long sturdy stems and large petals that open up to a big gorgeous head, words simply are not enough. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself, don t you agree? I bet you do because the beauty is there for all to see. Oh.. and don’t forget to join me for next Rose Safari Expedition at the Ngong hills as we explore some more.
